TT1基因在拟南芥中只有1个拷贝,但芥菜型油菜是由白菜型油菜(B. rapa)和黑芥(B. nigra)天然杂交、加倍形成的异源四倍体,含有A 和B 染色体组,基因组大小是拟南芥的6倍,理论上每个同源基因应该有2 个或更多拷贝。但在本研究中,基于同源克隆和RACE方法,在紫叶芥、四川黄籽、NILA和NILB中分别只获得了一个TT1基因序列,而TT1基因在芥菜型油菜中究竟有几个拷贝,还需研究。由于白菜与黑芥在进化和遗传上的高度同源性,芸薹属基因组中A 与B 基因组的鉴别一直是困扰芸薹属植物研究者的一个难题,本研究中所获得紫叶芥和四川黄籽TT1基因是来自哪个染色体组,有待进一步研究。

TT1 was a single-copy gene in A. thaliana. B. juncea was an allotetraploid (AABB genome) derived from hybridization by B. rapa and B. nigra and chromosome doubling. The homologous genes of TT1 gene should have more than 2 copies in B. juncea as its genome size is about 6-fold of A. thaliana. Further study was needed to investigate the copy numbers in B. juncea although single TT1 gene was obtained from purple-leaf mustard, Sichuan Yellow, NILA and NILB based on homologous cloning method and RACE method in this report. The identification of genome A and genome B in Brassica was a boring question puzzling researchers because of the high homology in evolutional and genetic background between B. campestris and black mustard. Further research was needed to identify which chromosome set TT1 gene was derived from in purple-leaf mustard and Sichuan Yellow.
